Castleton State College Castleton State College, founded in 1787 is located in Castleton, with a center in Rutland. It offers associates, baccalaureate and masters degrees for Liberal Arts and Professional Studies. College of St. Joseph College of St. Joseph is a private, Catholic, co-ed, fully accredited liberal arts college providing associate, bachelors and masters degrees in liberal arts and professional areas. An accredited member of the Vermont State College System, they offer day and evening classes. Green Mountain College Green Mountain College, chartered in 1834 and located in Poultney, offers two and four year associates programs, as well as baccalaureate programs in education, retailing, business, recreation and several other fields.

Vermont Small Business Development Center (SBDC) The VtSBDC mission is to assist start-ups and strengthen existing business entities through high quality, no cost counseling and high quality, affordable training programs. Scholarship funds are available for several programs.
Vermont Training Program (VTP) The Vermont Training Program (VTP) promotes industrial expansion and encourages the creation of jobs in manufacturing by providing training for new, relocating or expanding firms. Programs are individually designed and may include on-the-job, classroom, skill upgrade or other specialized training mutually agreed upon by the state and the employer.
SCORE SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
